Rabbi Bruce Aft
Rabbi Bruce D. Aft has been the spiritual leader at Adat Reyim since 1991. Ever since then he has inspired and changed the lives of many. Rabbi Aft has been affiliated with the March of the Living since 1992, B’nai B’rith Youth Organization since 1985, and the UJA/Jewish Federation of greater Washington since 1993. Rabbi Aft is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. The Rabbi also enjoys helping his community.
Rabbi Bruce Aft received his honorary doctor of divinity degree in June 2006. He is celebrating his 18th year as Adat Reyim's Rabbi in 2009-2010!
He is currently the Rabbinic Advisor of the George Mason University Community Hillel Board, past president of the Board of Jewish Education of Greater Washington, and has chaired the Board of Operation Understanding, D.C. Since September 11, 2001, Rabbi Aft is involved in developing teen dialogue groups through George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
