Selichot Service
Saturday, September 5, 2015 • 21 Elul 5775
7:00 PM - 9:00 PMSelichot offers us an opportunity to begin to direct our hearts and minds toward the High Holiday themes of reflection, repentance, and renewal.
On Saturday, September 5, our joint Selichot observance with Beth El Hebrew Congregation will be held at Congregation Adat Reyim, and will continue what has become a tradition of uniting our two synagogues at the start of each High Holiday season. This evening will include musical selections and poetry from various members of our two congregations.
In addition, Rabbi Aft and Rabbi Weiner will team up with Rabbi Isserow, from Congregation Beth El, to lead a discussion on "G-d and Faith in Judaism." Our observance will include Havdalah, a luscious dessert spread, and a Selichot worship service. We are grateful to The Marvin Steinberg Memorial Fund and Rabbi Bruce Aft, as well as Beth El Hebrew Congregation, for making this joint venture possible.
