Lunch and Learn led by Sheldon Low

Saturday, October 25, 2014 1 Cheshvan 5775

12:15 PM - 1:30 PM

Congregation Adat Reyim is very pleased to welcome Sheldon Low as our Artist-In-Residency the weekend of October 24 – 26. Sheldon Low is one of the brightest young stars in Jewish music today, performing concerts and ‘Light Up Shabbat’ services and seminars across North America. Widely known for his exhilarating live performances and soulful services, Sheldon regularly features local musicians, choirs, and soloists on stage or on the bima. His popularity has continued to grow over the past decade as a performer, composer, leader, and, most importantly, as a Jewish educator. To learn more about Sheldon Low, visit www.SheldonLow.com. Congregation Adat Reyim is excited to host four great events!

Friday, October 24 at 7:30 pm – Light Up Shabbat Service. Sheldon Low will join Rabbi Aft and our Folk Group, Shir Reyim, for a spiritual and joyful Erev Shabbat Service.

Saturday, October 25 at 12:15 pm – Lunch and Learn led by Sheldon Low. Join Sheldon for a Shabbat meal in a casual and intimate setting.

Saturday, October 25 at 7:00 pm – Havdalah Service and Sheldon Low Performance. The highlight of our Artist-in-Residency Weekend! Join us for champagne, dessert, and conversation, followed by Havdalah and a concert led by Sheldon Low. All are welcome but this event is primarily geared toward teens and adults. Admission cost applies.

Sunday, October 26 at 10:30 am – Religious School and Community Concert. Following a special visit by Sheldon to each class during Religious School, our students will participate in a youth-inspired concert where they will have the opportunity to sing and dance with Sheldon! A bagel bar breakfast will be available for guests beginning at 9:45 am. This event is free and open to the community.

Who is sponsoring these great events? This incredible weekend is partially funded by contributions made at the 2010 Education Gala, where we honored educators in our community who had served Congregation Adat Reyim for Chai+ (18+) years.
