About our Curriculum
The Adat Reyim Religious School is guided by a traditional, yet progressive curriculum. Our teachers use the most modern and time-tested techniques in classroom management and curriculum presentation for our kindergarten through high school students. For two consecutive years, one of our teachers has been selected by the Washington Jewish Weeks as the Northern Virginia Jewish Teacher of the Year.
Our spiral curriculum focuses on Hebrew literacy, Torah, Jewish history, modern Israel history,Tikkun Olam (Repair of the World) and of course, traditions, customs and holidays. Our textbooks are carefully selected to augment and enhance our curriculum and to engage our students. We integrate informal learning with formal education at all grade levels, including music and art activities and family educational programs. The Adat Reyim Religious School has been developed to assist our children in becoming more knowledgeable about their Jewish heritage in a fun and supportive environment. Our goal is that each of our students is proud of his or her Jewish identity.
Our school has been commended by the Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning.
