Join Our Community

We are a caring, connected congregation, reflective of a diversity of Jewish practices and welcoming of interfaith families. A place of great ruach, or spirit, Adat Reyim’s calendar is brimming with fun, engaging, and educational activities for all ages and backgrounds. We are small enough to know each other and large enough to be a thriving community! Get to know us so we can get to know you.  Click here to contact us to find out more!

Rabbi Search

Adat Reyim is undergoing a unique rabbi search process, clarifying our values and learning more about what we all need and want in our next spiritual leader. The Rabbi Search Committee solicited insights and ideas from all congregants through surveys and varied focus groups. The results are in!  Read more about what we've learned and see the Job Description based on the values and characteristics identified. Learn more here.

Adat Reyim is our spiritual and community home. More than bricks and mortar, it is our Etz Chayim, our Tree of Life. We are all enjoying the sanctuary and lobby improvements - from new floors, lighting and movable walls to a new sound system. Soon we will rejuvenate our most sacred space, with an inviting new ark. (Join us for the dedication of our new Torah covers on September 13!) We will continue to help our lobby reflect our warmth and welcoming spirit..

    Sunday, Sep 22nd 1:00p to 2:00p
Annual Adat Reyim Watershed Cleanup Sunday, September 22, 2019 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wakefield Park, 8100 Braddock Road Second left into parking lot near ball fields Look for our sign Rain or Shine Help repair the world (Tikkun Olam) by being part of the International Coastal Cleanup—the world’s largest effort for our oceans and waterways! Join your fellow congregants, along with the Friends of Accotink Creek, to help protect our nearby watershed by spending some quality time cleaning up debris and learning how we can help prevent watershed pollution. Why is this important? Not only is litter ugly, but trash is a threat to wildlife, such as birds, turtles, and fish that depend on the river. All supplies will be provided. Wear long sleeves, pants and old shoes or boots. This is a great family mitzvah project, something for all ages, and teens are eligible for community service credits. In just a short time we really can make a difference! For more information please contact Jeanne Kadet at
