Join the Congregation Where YOU Matter!
Thank you for your interest in Congregation Adat Reyim!
Our "Adat Reyim," or "community of friends," is a caring, connected congregation reflective of a diversity of Jewish practices and welcoming of interfaith families. We are a participatory, innovative congregation. You matter here, from the moment you step inside our doors. We offer many opportunities to connect with each other - spiritually, socially, and individually. As a new member recently said, "Lots of synagogues say they are warm and welcoming, but you really are!"
We celebrate Shabbat and holidays in many ways, serving the needs of our diverse membership. Our weekly Erev Shabbat services include monthly services with our a capella choir, monthly Spirit of Shabbat services with upbeat contemporary melodies led with instruments, and our innovative member-inspired New Format Fridays on the 3rd Friday. We also hold Family and Friends Friday night services, especially for families with young childen. On Saturday mornings, we have Torah study and traditional Shabbat services, and on Wednesdays, a weekly evening minyan, often lay-led.
Our holiday celebrations are varied and engaging – traditional High Holiday services are held alongside a Spirit of the High Holidays service on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur with instruments and new readings. Purim celebrations include the Megillah reading, a Purim carnival, and a Purim Schpiel for the grown-ups. We mark Passover with music and many innovative programs including a Women’s Seder.
We care about our neighbors and are active in interfaith activities, including dinner discussion groups with Christian and Muslim friends. Tikun Olam - repairing the world - is critical to our congregants.
Education is a cornerstone of our congregation. From preschool to religious school to adult education, there are many ways to learn and grow - and to share your insights.
If you haven't already joined us for worship, we would like to welcome you. Please check out the Adat Reyim calendar ( to see the schedule for services and programs. We make a point of welcoming new faces!
