Music at Adat Reyim

We are a very musical congregation! Music is a fundamental part of Jewish life, and it manifests itself in several ways here at Adat Reyim.  Our a capella choir leads traditional Friday night services on the first Friday of the month.  Shir Reyim, our musical group of singers and instrumentalists, leads The Spirit of Shabbat  with contemporary melodies and readings on the fourth Friday of each month. Music especially for younger children is a featured part of our Family and Friends Shabbat service on the second Friday.  Our New Format Fridays on the third Friday often include music in creative ways, such as our Women's Voices Shabbat and Shabbat in Translation.   Each Sunday morning of Religious School begins with engaging music.  

Our musical groups also help lead High Holiday services and are featured in many special events, such as the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving service and the annual Martin Luther King Shabbat of Solidarity, both of which are held jointly by Adat Reyim and local congregations of many other faiths.
