We rely on contributions from our members, extended families, and friends to meet the religious, educational, and social needs of our “Community of Friends”. Support our “Beit Knesset” Synagogue
- General Fund
Your donation to the General Fund will go where it is most needed. Things happen! A program may need a little more funding, prayer books may need a little mending, the refrigerator leaks. It’s nice to have a cushion to keep the synagogue running smoothly.
- Annual High Holiday Appeal
Your annual High Holiday Pledge supports the day-to-day operations of the synagogue, programming, and the salaries of our clergy and staff.
Support our “Beit Midrash” House of Learning
- Adult Education: Support adult educational programs for our members and the community.
- Preschool: The preschool provides general and Judaic programming for children ages 2-5 as we reach out to the young families in our community.
- Religious School: The religious school provides Judaic education and social activities for our children in grades K-12.
- Elijah’s Fund: This fund provides tuition relief for families unable to pay Religious School tuition and fees.
- Mark Nebel Scholarship Fund: Provides an annual award to a graduating high school senior in the community for academic or vocational education.
Support our “Beit Teffilah” House of Prayer
- Pulpit Fund: This discretionary fund for Rabbi Glazer is used to support congregational activities, professional development, and the community-at-large.
- Choir Fund: Provides the choir with funds to purchase music and to participate in community events.
- Folk Group Fund: Supports the activities of the folk group and the monthly Folk Service.
- Ebert-Loveland Lunch and Learn Fund: Support the monthly luncheon after Saturday services.
- Kiddush and Oneg Fund: Celebrate a special occasion by sponsoring an oneg or kiddush lunch. Click here for the mail-in form.

Support our “Adat Reyim” Community of Friends
- Caring Committee Fund: Provides meals for members who are in mourning, who are ill, or who are experiencing a crisis.
- Men’s Club: Support the activities of the Men’s Club.
- Sisterhood: Support the activities of the Sisterhood.
Support our Future: Special Fundraising Campaigns
- Interior Rejuvenation Campaign: We are in the process of remodeling and improving our sanctuary and lobby. Your gift will help us to complete our project.
- Create a Jewish Legacy Endowment Fund: We are building our endowment fund to provide for the next generation. The goal is to raise $1,000,000 in 10 years.
Tributes & Memorials: Make a lasting impression
- Yahrzeit Plaques: Memorialize the life of a loved one by purchasing a Yahrzeit plaque to be permanently displayed in the sanctuary vestibule. Click here for the Plaque mail-in form.
- Tree of Life: Memorialize a happy occasion or honor a special person by purchasing a leaf to be permanently displayed in the synagogue lobby. Click here Tree of Life mail-in form.

- Water Certificate: donate to JNF through Adat Reyim to celebrate an event or to honor someone.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE (WSCAC) meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7 PM at the West Springfield District Police Station, 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield, Virginia 22152. These meetings are in person only and bring together the West Springfield community and local law enforcement to discuss recent criminal activities and provide safety and security training to the local community.
