B-Mitzvah

We strive to make each Bar/Bat Mitzvah student feel confident during their ceremony.  Students practice individually with our Tefillah teacher and also our Torah/Haftarah teacher so that they are prepared.  The rabbi also meets with students to help them learn about their portion and prepare a D'var Torah.  Families meet with the rabbi to go over the process, arrange for special honors, and more.   

We ask students to find a Mitzvah Project that they want to work on as a part of becoming a Jewish adult.  Students have the option of connecting with Yad Vashem to participate in the Holocaust Twin Program.  Each B-Mitzvah is unique and we strive to help create a meaningful experience for everyone involved.
