Docent-Led Tour of the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial

About the Memorial: The Turning Point Suffragist Memorial honors the women who were imprisoned at the Occoquan Workhouse. It stands across from the historic prison grounds where scores of suffragists were jailed in 1917 for picketing the White House. It also commemorates the millions of little-known women who engaged in the suffragist movement primarily from 1848 through passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920.

Important Event Details: The tour will start at 3pm, plan to arrive at least five minutes early. Parking is adjacent to the memorial. This is an in-person outdoor event. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Remember to VOTE on Tuesday, November 2.
