8:00 PM - 10:00 PMThe Values We Live By
In the 6th grade class, we spend considerable time talking about values. What are they? Where do they come from? As Jewish Americans, we have 2 primary sources for our values -- the 10 Commandments, and the Bill of Rights to our Constitution.
Why are these so important and how do our values determine the kind of people we are? The Prophet Micah said: "It hath been told thee, O man, what is good and what the lord doth require of thee. Only to do justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God." Pretty simple and straight-forward, but why is it so hard to
follow? How do we go about deciding what our values are and how do we go about trying to use these values to live our lives?
Come to Services on July 27 or enroll in the 6th grade.
