Adult Education

Congregation Adat Reyim has a lively and active Adult Education program, providing educational and entertaining programs nearly every month to congregants and at times to the larger Delaware/Maryland/Virginia community. Our programs have included guest speakers, trips to museums, the annual musical Purim shpiel, and collaborations with the Pozez Jewish Community Center and other Jewish institutions.

Current ongoing offerings include:

• a monthly post-Minyan discussion of contemporary issues (third Wednesdays)
• occasional book club meetings
• a weekly meditation minyan (Tuesdays at noon)

In addition, Adat Reyim offers:

• classes for learning Hebrew, and adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah opportunities
• Men’s Club activities from fellowship to speakers to service projects in the community 
• an annual Women’s Seder
• Sisterhood service projects as well as social activities
• "Lunch and Learn" sessions in which members and guests offer engaging opportunities after Saturday morning services
• Occasional learning opportunities and Torah commentary from lay leaders; click HERE to see samples
• a dynamic Social Action committee that plans events for congregational participation 
• cultural events, e.g. concerts by popular Jewish entertainers
