The West Springfield District Faith Community will be hosting a Police and Faith Community Meeting (P&FC) on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be at Nativity Catholic Church (6400 Nativity Ln, Burke, VA 22015).

These meetings allow you to connect with the police department and other members of our 70+ houses of worship in the West Springfield District. The focus is to share resources between each House of Worship while at the same time educating you about important topics, services, and resources in Fairfax County that you may not know about.

For the month of May, School Resource Officer David Curcio and Community Outreach Officer Liam May will be presenting Hidden in Plain Sight (H.I.P.S.). This presentation helps you learn the latest trends in risky behavior and communications skills to help you talk to your children. We include up-to-date statistics and local trends, and law enforcement officers will share the experiences they have had in our community, identifying risky behavior and helping to put kids on the right path to a healthy life.

UPDATE FOR THESE MEETINGS: This will be the last P&FC meeting of the year, and we will be converting our meetings into the CAC (Community Advisory Committee). The CAC has a similar mission to the P&FC, and we will continue to build community within the station's boundaries.
