We are sending this notification because you have a child who may have attended in-person, outside religious school at Congregation Adat Reyim on Sunday November 8 or Monday November 9.
It has been brought to our attention that several religious school students who attended in person religious school on both Sunday and Monday had been unknowingly exposed to COVID-19 on November 6-7. Unfortunately, a local sports complex has experienced an outbreak of COVID-19 among their coaches. Several of our synagogue's religious school students had direct contact with these coaches on November 6-7 at an indoor practice before the coaches had received positive COVID-19 test results. These students have since been notified that they were exposed to COVID-19 during the November 6-7 practices with the coaches who have now tested positive for COVID-19.
These students are now quarantining and getting tested for COVID-19. To our knowledge, these students have NOT tested positive for COVID-19 nor are they experiencing any COVID-like symptoms.
We are sending this notification out of abundance of caution to ensure all congregants are kept apprised of the situation. If any student, employee or member of our congregation shows any symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive, please contact us immediately via president@adatreyim.org so that we can undertake proper contact-tracing measures. Any information regarding a student/congregant's health condition will always be kept confidential. However, this information is vital for our organization to have so we can ensure everyone is safe and healthy.
Finally, we will NOT have in-person religious school on November 15 or 16. All religious school classes will be held virtually on November 15 and 16. We will keep you updated if there are any other changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at President@adatreyim.org.
