TITLE:" Response to Speech, Bias Incidents, and Hate Crimes: DESCRIIPTION: In light of the recent surge in anti-Semitic and other bias-related incidents throughout the United States, it is incumbent upon concerned members of our community to be allies to one another in confronting bias, bigotry and hatred. ADL’s Washington, DC Regional Education Director, Seth Gordon-Lipkin, offers strategies and skills for responding to hate speech and bigotry. Using ADL’s “Pyramid of Hate,” Seth will discuss the intersections of bias, prejudice, and discrimination, and the ability for hate to escalate when left unchecked.
