March of the Living

 

In 2013, Adat Reyim once again assembled a group of high school students to participate in the annual March of the Living. If you can consider going on future trips such as this one, you will have a travel and learning experience that will last you a lifetime.

The March of the Living is an international educational program that brings Jewish teens from all over the world to Poland on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day) to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built during World War II. The group then travels to Israel to observe Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day) and Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day).

The goal of the March of the Living is to teach young people the lessons of the Holocaust and to lead the Jewish people into the future, vowing "Never Again."
